We have lived in Paonia for nearly 10 years. I love the small community family atmosphere for raising my children. Everywhere you go someone calls you by name. We enjoy skiing, snowboarding, watching our pumpkins and corn grow in the garden, fishing, camping, motorcycles and sports. I am an active participant in the local volunteer organization for soccer and coach both children.

Helping to develop the Paonia Soccer Club has led to a love of coaching and a Colorado State coaching certification for youth division (U6-U10 years) soccer. Each season I now find joy in teaching the kids and admiring their growth in personal and sports relationships. The Paonia Soccer club is the proud winner of 1st place each year! Yeah kids and lots of trophies for the office.

Paonia Cherry Day's is one of our favorite local celebrations during the 4th of July. Paonia celebrates with vendors in the park, carnival rides, live music and parade activities. We now call ourselves "the Float coordinator's." "We don't watch the parade Mom, we are in the parade!" (Auston at age 10)
